A Letter to Parents
There is something we want to say to you.
We know how precious your child is. We also know what it took to get here. The early mornings at the rink. The long drives in bad weather. The hotel rooms, the equipment, the seasons you paid for without hesitating once. The nights you lay awake wondering whether any of it would matter. We know, because we have stood where you stand. Some of us were that kid. Some of us are that parent.
So let us be direct with you: we do not lie. Not about your child's level. Not about the odds. Not about the money. If a scout is interested, you hear it from us first. If a door closes, you hear that the same day. You deserve the truth far more than you deserve a comfortable story, and the truth is what you will always get from us.
We will watch your child play until we know exactly what they are. Not the highlight reel, not the one good shift, not the game where everything went right. Then we will tell you honestly where they stand, and which league will bring out their best hockey. Not always the biggest name. The right fit. The team where they will play real minutes, grow, and be seen by the people who decide what happens next.
We know how badly you want to watch your child on the best ice there is. You are not the only one who wants that. We want it with you, and we intend to be in the room when it happens.
Your child has only a handful of seasons to become the player they are going to be. We will not waste a single one of them. And we will never spend one of them on a promise we cannot keep.
Thank you for trusting us with your child.
